Collection Procedure

In the case of any account which has not been paid by the due date, a "Past Due Notice" will be mailed approximately five days after the due date. There will be a charge of $15 for the mailing of the "Past Due Notice" which will be added to the following months bill. In the event a water bill is not paid after the mailing of a "Past Due Notice", a "Shut Off Notice" will be delivered to the occupant of the property where the account was contracted. There will be a charge of $25 for the delivery of the "Shut Off Notice" which will be added to the following months bill. After a lapse of 24 hours, following delivery of the "Shut Off Notice" during which the bill has not been paid, the water will be shut off from said premises, and will not be turned on until the account is paid in full, including a $25 turn-on-charge. In addition to the water being shut off for accounts in arrears, they are also subject to municipal liens.
